Basins of the Arcelor Mittal factories in Luxembourg

Carrying out an exhaustive mapping of 3 industrial basins in order to follow the evolution of siltation and program the cleaning operations.

After a necessary passage to Arcelor Mittal safety training, our team positioned itself on the first 3 Ha pool.
The Bathydrone® was launched and automatic navigation was activated.

The depth measurements captured using a single beam sonar were visible in time on the bank in our bathymetry software. The operation was then reproduced on the other 2 basins with the same acquisition methodology.

This solution allowed the client to have an unmanned solution on the water to meet their security requirements. It is a great satisfaction for our client.
In addition, the density of the points acquired made it possible to produce maps of the bottom of great precision and in the Luxembourg reference system.
